Very nice! Great dramatic lighting, and beautiful contrast. Well done!
Absolutely gorgeous B&W. I really like the shadow of the picture on the wall, which guide you toward the main subject. Also good title for it. Great job author, my personal compliments and my fav!

sliced bread. (5 years and 2847 days ago)
Well done
A bit harsh on the lighting. I don't know if you used a direct flash or if you used a diffuser or bounce lighting, but it's needs to be softened a bit. It's doable the way it is, but I think it would flatter the bread so much more if the lighting were softer and there wasn't such a difference between shadows and highlights. Also, white background is a bit harsh on the eyes in this situation. Great concept. And this photo is good, you just need to refine it to give that little something extra
Can we have some jelly, or meat, or something too?

The tonal quality is very lovely and there is a strong emotive pull with this upload,...you romantic you.
I think this would be more emotive had the person been stronger in this.
Ha, I disagree and here are my two cents worth. The photo matches the title because that feeling of "gone" is prevalent...had this author uploaded a photo of a strong image of person then that feeling of "gone" wouldn't be there because he would be "here" and not "gone". This guy in the blue is going going almost gone! I'm sure there is a joke in here somewhere, I just can't put my finger on it.
I see where your thought process in this one,i only ment maybe slightly nearer as apposed to right in front in this,or am I alone in my thoughts.
Still26 has it right, i took this photo because he is almost gone in the distance, together with upcoming autumn leafs, it felt good with the title.
fair enough
I liked this one a lot. Congrats on your win!
Thanks Olga..
