The Iron Skillet is a popular truck stop and restaurant in North Las Vegas, Nevada, quite near the Speedway. This particular afternoon, one waitress was serving all of the afternoon stragglers who were deciding between breakfast, lunch, dinner, or perhaps just a cup of coffee and a glass of ice-cold water....
This waitress definitely deserves high marks as a member of the working class who is surviving our present economy.
Steps followed:
1) Contrast was increased in a curves level based on the Green channel
2) Silver Efex Pro 2 utilized to convert image to B/W
3) A warm Photo Filter applied
4) Reflective gradient level was applied
5) NIK Cep 4 filter applied
6) Photozoom was used to reduce size of image

Very nice, but a little closer crop might help
Great photo, I would crop a bit off the top to put more focus on the people.
I'm not sure about the filters you have used, especially the NIK Cep 4, but I'm sure someone who knows more about what those filters do, will let us know.
Good idea; i.e., small amount of cropping. NIK Cep4 is Nik Software created for color corrections. I processed the image long enough ago that I no longer remember why I used the filter LOL NIK is now owned by Google (Surprise, surprise ;^)
Thanks for your comment. Appreciated.

Nice shot, but don't put your name in comments. It destroys anonymity.
Nice, love this composition
Thanks DigitalDreamer
Great capture of an everyday occurence. Her expression speaks volumes. Would like to have seen in hi res.
Thanks BeSea. I suspect that it was the end of a long, long day. She's part of a series I'm working on called "Survival;" It deals with the mundane jobs we take, just to keep trucking along. I appreciate your comment.
Congratulations on 1st place, wonderful photo.
Thank you very much. I'm very pleased.
