Thanks! The brown thing is actually one of two "ears" that is attached to the pillow designed so that the sleeping baby looks like a lamb. It's really cute.

is this some kind of special speaker that shoots out fog when the music comes out?

Dust most probably , shaken loose and ejected, as the speaker vibrates.

Hehe ..no smoke,no fog ,no dust..only a piece of white paper.
