Not a huge fan of HDR, and I think your contrast is too steep, but to composition and subject are very good, I just don't agree with your choice of editing

nice capture !! IMO, the plight of the panhandler would of been better portrayed in more subdued grey tones. It would of better reflected the dull, gloomy, gritty life that he probably has. still a good photo. good luck.

Great photo, and treatment =)

Too much of and HDR effect. The man has a glowing aura around him, most noticeable along the bottom and the right hand side. The same with the top of the buildings and around the street light. Unlike Marmite, it's not so much "you love it or you hate it," as it is "too much of a good thing is not good." Heavy handed contrast takes away from an otherwise excellent composition and gives this a too fake look.

Don't we all have one of these places somewhere in the car!
