This is my 8 year old niece boogie boarding at Golden Sands Beach in Wabasso,Florida. She just wiped out and it getting right back in the water to catch another wave. (5 years and 1533 days ago)
Photo would be greatly improved by cropping closer and straightening the horizon.
Thanks for the corrective criticism but I usually don't crop and adjust my photos. I will give it a try next time. Again, thanks for the tip.
My eye is also distracted by the crooked ocean horizon instead of the subject.
This is my 1st entry..should I delete it?
Oh no, of course not! Hopefully you will take the comments as helpful suggestions and not as mean criticism. The intention here is to encourage photography, not to discourage it. The great learning tool of this site is the ability to see where your entry scores after all of the votes are in. This gives you an idea of the quality of your photo (judged by the peer group and not by the so-called "experts"and to learn from those photos that place higher. I have learned a lot by challenging myself to improve. Please don't take offense. Not intended. I did not know that it was your first entry. Welcome.
Well said BeSea.
TO BeSea, l am taking in the suggests as helping not criticism. I just wanted your opinion on deleting, fixing the pic and reentering the contest. Next entry I will work on my adjustments of photo..Thanks Lovelyleo

Close-up of a trampoline artist at Binghamton University attempting to catch a ball in midair. (5 years and 2297 days ago)
with the foot cut off, we can't really tell that he is in the air.
OK, but if you'll notice my previous submission, which features the same man, you'll see he is clearly airborne (although striking a different sort of pose). Also, regarding this shot, if he wasn't in the air, wouldn't there be a greater likelihood of something being in the background to give some sort of ground context? One foot is indeed cut off, but on the side of the photograph and not on the bottom, but the other foot is clearly in the air and he's trying to catch a ball moving up toward him, as can be gathered from the angle of his arms. I was using a 70-300mm lens and was zoomed in somewhat significantly in order to get the shot.
Lets cut to the chase, author. You have violated the cardinal rule of anonymity, because we know that you are the author of both images. By the way, the other image got this one beat by a country mile, IMO. If I was you, I would delete this one.
Thanks for explaining how I broke anonymity, because I was trying to get clarification from a moderator but never heard back :-/. I wanted to delete the entry and replace it with something different altogether, but I'm unsure how to do that (again no response for the moderator). But thanks for clearing this up and for your comments!
Go to Profile, My entries and replace the entry.
This was also told to you in the warning you got when the entry was removed.

I wasn't sure if surf kayaking was actually practiced competitively, so I did a little research online and found out that it is indeed. (5 years and 2359 days ago)
