These leaves (Sea Grape) in Florida were once used as writing paper in Old Florida. (You can still use them today, but you have to place them in a plastic bag with a stamp to mail them). I've tried to write on them but the only thing that works is a Sharpie marker. I can only imagine how you would write on them with quill and pen. (5 years and 2737 days ago)

nice description,......
would you please to tell me little bit about this composition,......thanks.

author says:

I just cropped it in the shape of a barbell. The small cluster of leaves one side and the large leaf the other side connected with the hurricane trunk. Sea Grape Leaves get some amazing colors as they recycle, they go completely cardboard brown when they reach the end of the life cycle. The Purple, yellow, and reds only last for a short while

I wonder if this will get removed The idea of including the pot is that it gives subtle reflection of the stripes warping them in a nice way and the objects in the bucket make their own stripes

very nice!

author says:

Thanks for all the comments. I know what you mean, Glockman. I used to get really frustrated, but then I figured out how to do it. Just take a tripod and set your camera up near a feeder or bush. Use a fairly high shutter speed and trigger it remotely when they come by. You can get some fairly fun shots that way. Good luck.

If that's what it takes then I am getting a camera with a remote! Fabulous, wonderful, fantastic, awesome shot!
