Nice lighting for a good portrait. (love the chubby cheeks)
I ADORED HIS EXPRESSION!!!!
really adorable child but i disagree with mperri, your shot would have been better with no facial expression , nice try though, good luck !
beautiful portrait
Lamantine, maybe I'm confused. Why do you think it the best portrayal of inanimation is a person without expression?
mmm, I was wondering that too............??
cute.. gl
maybe because a facial expression on something shows that this thing has to show something, for example look at statues, sculptors have gave them facial expression to demonstrate life, to give a personality to the character , but when we've got to capture something which looks really inanimate, IMHO , i think there should not be facial expression. Hope you understand me now , good luck !

its real theme
great take on the theme!
nice effort.............framing could have been better.
The picture is cool and 100% on theme... but I am with Ade here... I have already said it somewhere that I am not a fan of accidental body extremity crops, unless it is inevitable, which here, considering the subject is stationary, it could have been avoided...
well done

This is and old copper statue in the garden of a local church. (5 years and 3620 days ago)
Tarnish doesn't = corrosion. Nice shot, though
Kyricom, copper actually doesn't tarnish, if you want to use the correct terminology, it is oxidation that you see.
The definition of Corrosion is: a state of deterioration in metals caused by OXIDATION or chemical action.
Oxidation is defined as the interaction between oxygen molecules and all the different substances they may contact, from metal to living tissue.
In the case of iron, the oxygen creates a slow burning process, which results in the brittle brown substance we call rust. When oxidation occurs in copper, on the other hand, the result is a greenish coating called copper oxide.
By putting in my description that the statue was copper I was hoping most people would remember back to elementary school when we learned that the Statue of Liberty is made of copper and the reason she looks green is because of corrosion, and be able to skip a lengthy debate over the chemical processes. I hope that this clears up any confusion.
Of course when we say corrosion, the first thing that comes in mind is a piece of steel or iron full of rust... But a new copper statue doesn't look like that! Even aluminium has corrosion... For me it's very clear!
OK. Thanks for the info.
Beautiful shot, Good Luck
