The black and white does this image no favors. It looks highly HDR, emphasizing every subtle skin tone variation, which detracts from wrinkles, and overly accentuates a very mottled skin instead.

I agree with Nator, bravo author for expressing your thought's about how "you" the creator of this image wanted it to look.

I like the gritty processing on this image. I personally think it lends itself well to street photography. I think you have achieve the style well.
