No humans, or parts of humans, are allowed in the shot. Backgrounds, including plants, are ok, but no living creatures.

author, I do not wish to sound harsh, but 'first time' is not really an excuse. you read well enough to be able to register and post images in the contest, so you should be able to read the guidelines too..............sorry, just my opinion!.
On theme now, and lookin good author! Well done...
PS; I keep trying to read the little note
Welcome to Pxleyes! Great composition. Well done for changing your entry, remember to always check the full resolution box..

Oh darn, you're human...
I like you POV and the mood you've captured has a very "At home" feel to it. Nice entry! GL!

For a portrait I would make sure that the subject are not squinting into the sun - the shadows created are harsh under the eyes giving them a baggy appearance. A bit of fill flash could have helped.
Nice grouping, wish I was there instead of here in the snow..brrrrr!

I think this might be a more powerful shot if the person was smaller or actually interacting somehow with the instruments, she just kinds looks like part of the background here...
very nice capture...gl
