Contest states:"Goal:Enter your best shots of anything to do with sand. Sand sculptures, being buried in sand, macros of the grains, as long as the shots are of sand in its natural habitat." Says nothing about having to be a 'landscape' ? The idea here was to capture the texture of the sand, which, I hope I did...
Apologies, I was a little too quick. Have deleted my comment, didn't know the new contests was up and thought it was an entry in the black/white landscape contest.
you did a good job on the photo. im just not sure if it meets the guide lines
Not sure if it fits the theme evilgnome? First, according to the site rules: 3.7: Don't comment on 'administrative' issues of the entry (such as being off-topic for example), but raise a red flag instead....
But, since you brought it up, WHY do you believe a shot of sand does not fit the theme of "sand"? I am curious now...
Um - looks like sand to me

I would rotate the shot to the right some. Seems to tilt to the left but very pretty shot here.
I agree with MnMCarta. Look at the phone poles etc. Seems to tilt a little. But I like this shot very much
I kinda liked it crooked, I thought it gave it a slightly euphoric feel. But I will straighten it if you like.
It's your entry... if you like it like that... don't change it for us
lol ok

Love this shot - if the silhouette can be made totally black by adjusting the contrast level, it might make the photo a bit more standing out
this is going in my Fav..... lovely shot....
Yes, a nice one. If only they've linked hands or hands on each others shoulders.
Impressive! Great job!
Amazing shot!
