I agree, you do need to redo this shot in better lighting. Tis is just so cute, it would be a waste to not redo it. The overall light could be so much better, and the white balance is too yellow, but your ideas has great potential

Thank you. Yes, it is supposed to be hard to see. Hopefully the small reflections and highlights create the image in your subconscious, so you "see" it without actually "seeing" it.

I give you full marks for photographing something black on black which is what I thought this was going to be about, So many photos here of something small surrounded by lots of black.

I think it might have been better with the negative space on the 'pouring side'
