So sad, didn't know it was the captain that was lost, didn't they loose 2 crew?
Yes, you are right. It was both the captain and a new crew member who had just started and was on her first voyage
Flying a large Canadian Flag - Bless the Bounty and its captain - great shot
The Canadian flag is a courtesy flag, flown here because she was in Canadian waters at the time of this photo. Her registry and primary flag is in the stern (on the gaff) and it is the American flag.
Watched her being built in Nova Scotia and saw the launch --sad loss of crew and vessel.
