It's a nice shot, but you should straighten the horizon because it's leaning to the right.
Artifakts is correct, author.
Look at the lamppost near the very center of your image. See how it leans ever so slightly to the right? That is your giveaway, as well as the visual you should work off of to level this out. Photoshop's Measure Tool showed it to be about .87 degrees off. Rotating it really made a notiecable difference. I suggest you try it.
Looks much better.
What you are seeing is the barrel distortion of the camera lens. Having to choose between the two, I think the current (straightened) version is preferable.

Walking down town St Paul, MN brought me the pleasure of acquainting myself with awesome buildings and the images they create from a photographers eye. (5 years and 2897 days ago)
I like how the reflection of the clouds, and the real clouds, line up
Thank you Kyricom..it was was got my attention in the first place. I took several shots of different buildings with that same concept. Thank you for your great insight!

Here's the church, and here's the steeple. Open the door and see all the people.

The composition does a good job of making the lens distortion work. Nice photo.
Great shot =)
can you please tell us the setup for this HDR shot ?
and what program you used for merging & noise reduction!!!!
@m0nm0n: I shot the image using RAW files at the lowest ISO possible (100 - 200) and use Lightroom to create 3 different exposure images (+2, 0, -2). +2 to reveal the detail of the shadow, -2 to reveal the detail of the hightlight (sky). Then use Photomatix to merge the images creating the above image I hope that's helpful
Congratulations on second, lovely view and very good HDR effect
Thanks Orientallad
