Burial place of the one and only William Shakespeare (or at least some guy who may have shared a name with some other Shakespeare who wrote plays, or was it some one who took all the credit for writing the plays but didn't actually write any of them?!?! I'm gonna say that this guy wrote them), Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon
I'm a theatre kid so this was a pretty special day for me, there was a group of about fifty German tourist in the area where the grave is and so I waited patiently to get a little closer to have a look, by the time I did, everyone had left, leaving just me and Bill Shakespeare to chat.
Everyone has been exposed to his plays over the hundreds of years they've been in circulation, and most actors, writers and theatre makers can blame/thank him for putting them on their path towards the stage, at least I can.
(Sorry if the picture is a little blurry, I didn't have a tripod and I defiantly was not using a flash in a church, and if I remember right, my camera was on the verge of dying.)

Great photo, terrific lighting, EXCELLENT back story - it made the photo more interesting for me! High marks for a job well done.
Well done under the circumstances and for not using a flash.
Wow!
Did they mention that curse he had put there (on the sign). When they renovated the church, they did everything - except those stones.
Ha! I had heard that that happened. I sure as hell wouldn't move them. I heard that they wanted to move them to Westminster Abbey, but then thought the better of it. Oh Bill, you clever man, you!
