The Little Mermaid - created by wind
The Little Mermaid - The National Symbol of Denmark
The little Mermaid sitting at Langelinie in Copenhagen, is one of Denmark's biggest tourist attractions.
The sculpture was put up in 1913, and has since then been the symbol of Denmark. Like the Eiffel tower in Paris and the statue of liberty in New York both have been very important for the two cities, so has the Little Mermaid been important for Copenhagen!

As an addition the the photography I would like to add that according to traditional beliefs when an elephant's trunk is pointed upwards that means good things are coming in the future and happiness is relevant and when its trunk is pointing down then negative consequences are likely. SBS contains a colour version cause I couldn't choose between them and encase anyone is curious, and also a shot of the "props" to shot actual size.
EDIT: switched colour version to main entry, and black and white in SBS (5 years and 3265 days ago)
