The High Line Park in New York City opened in the summer of 2009 and is an elevated railroad track that has been converted into a park. Not only is the park a great social gathering space, but it creates a unique interaction between the visitors above and pedestrians below. I snapped this picture as I ate my dinner at a restaurant beside the park as this family was watching the action from above. (5 years and 3497 days ago)
This is wonderful. NYC is definitely on my places to visit in this lifetime. At first I thought all their shorts were on fire . The lights at waist level contrasting with the dark is very striking. I also like that you did not crop the sky out. It is a nice balance. Thanks for sharing.

I attempted several angles and positions on this rope, and concluded this was my best shot. I'm not professional, just using the eye that I was born with. Point, focus, and shoot, are my only techniques. (5 years and 3497 days ago)
This would be a wonderful shot, if it was sharp.
That cable really draws me into this picture very nice!
Thanks for your feedback. I chose this shot out of another with a focused background, because I felt with this one, with it focused on the rope, it gave more of a sense of the rope pulling you down. I urge you all to look at the High Reolution to get a better feel of the area where it is focused.
I did look at the High Res before my first comment, and still feel it needs a deeper DOF.
The ONLY thing in focus is the rope. Wish it lead to a more interesting shot.

This shot was captured while looking out of a backdoor on Duval Street in Key West Florida (5 years and 3498 days ago)
Not sure if this fits the theme.
Is this what the neighborhoods look like? Lush and old wood (assuming wood looks old from the moisture and salty air)?
Yes, this shot was taken in Key West Florida, It captures the essence of this beautiful place, I hope some day you visit!
Nice, but could use a little sharper focus
I live north of this island... I can vouch for the author that this definately is one of Key West's "essence". From the conch houses to the Hemmingway's six-toed cats. (Google it). Well done author!!!
