I was staying with a friend in New Jersey and we decided to go window shopping in the city and catch a late dinner. We went into a strange antique store buried under the sprawling skyscrapers outside of Ground Zero and the shop owner let me take pictures of some of the antiques in macro. We said our good byes and as we walked back to the ferry and I saw this array of skyscrapers. I took this shot, forgetting that the camera was set on Macro and I was cold and shivering. When I got home to view it closer I was about to delete it when my friend said... KEEP IT! Those lights were off for a long time! (Completely forgetting that I had just been on the fringe of ground zero where much of the city was just coming back to life)
Cropped out the bottom to focus only on the buildings. (5 years and 3432 days ago)

As a study in "red-tape" this is the epitome of bureaucracy in motion. After being suggested over 20 years ago, accepting 15 bids and being voted on by the town counsel 45 times...it finally came to fruition, $125,000.00 dollars and 22 years later... (5 years and 3433 days ago)
