An old act with an interesting twist...
A straightforward night shot taken with my trusty Canon 20D. (5 years and 3648 days ago)
Marshalling a trauma helo into a tight area. (5 years and 3648 days ago)
not really a couldn't, cos these guys are usually trained to do this sort of thing..........but a good catch anyway.
Though this was not a "physical" impossibilty, it was out of the ordinary. We had to land a helo in a very small area, one that is smaller than is normally considered safe. We are trained to land one, i agree, but this was done in unfavorable wind conditions, bystanders to close for comfort, and power lines all around. We took the risk to save the life of a boating accident victim even though we were told "there is no way you are going to get a helo in there".
Very moving story, congratz for your efforts! Nice shot

You can see this flag at the top of the highest tower of the castle of Falaise (Normandy, France) which is the castle of William the Conqueror.
(I tried to use the rules of third as well as possible) (5 years and 3648 days ago)
since when did william the conqueror use engineering concrete for his castles....
In fact the high tower was a ruin, and they fixed it ... It seems very "modern", but when you're at the place, it doesn't disturb you. (you can perhaps see it better here : http://www.falaise.fr/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/chateau-passerelle.jpg -> it's not my picture, I found it with google)
Man... that William the Conqueror sure must have been ahead of his time!
