Very sweet image but a bit too strong of light coming from the side. Must have been taken in bright sunlight. Still a nice entry, GL

One of the most important moments on a person's life, the wedding is celebrated intensely in Maramures, North of Romania. Musicians and horses, usually open the wedding ceremony. The ritual has some special moments: the asking in marriage, the nuptial procession, the religious ceremony and the wedding party (which sometimes lasts three days and three nights, like in the fairy tales). I like the picture a lot, it does, indeed, tell a story... I am just not so sure why it should be in sepia...

avatar FallingHorse

I like it in Sepia - it gives it that old time traditional feel such as the tradition that is portrayed here - I personally think it is a wise choice considering the more modern elements in the market stall.

If you had cropped out the areas where the flash left a darker area, this probably would have looked better.

I guess.... but was going for the depth (pun intended)

Kids lined up at a park during picnic. They were so young but still well disciplined throughout the picnic. Lovely kids. (5 years and 3522 days ago)

avatar adeincyprus

yeh great, let's sit two dozen kids on the edge of a pond...........brilliant idea..........lol

author says:

Hey Ade...I didnt make them sit dude...They were from some school and had come to the park for picnic...Their teacher made them sit in a row like this and i liked it so clicked the snap....The kids were obedient that none of them moved till the teacher made arrangements for the entry of all the kids in the park...

Seriously why do you put your pictures at an angle?

avatar adeincyprus

'dude'......I didn't say you made them sit there!

avatar momvera
momvera says:

Heh, I guess it wasn't much fun at this picnick for the kids....

avatar FallingHorse

I'm not sure I like the POV - taken from a different angle would have given you a nice leading line/diagonal

author says:

Well Mekun : I dont put my pictures at an angle but this was the only way to take the whole line of the kids....Fallinghorse : thanx for your suggestion. Can u tell me the meaning of POV? Ade : I just said that because in your first comment you said "let's sit two dozen kids on the edge of a pond...........brilliant idea..........lol" Hence i said so that i didnt make them sit. It was their teacher...so not my idea...just a snap of what i saw....Thanx everyone for the comments..

Where is this place on Earth where kids are so obedient ???

avatar jawshoewhah

You know author you are allowed to rotate images. It seem that the angle is mainly IMO (in my opinion) and a couple others but if you like the angle, then stick with it. But it probably would look better if the horizon was level.

I believe Ade mean't Point of View=POV. I can relate as far as so many people dropping acronyms when you might be new. For longest time I thought OOF (out of focus) was just a typo for "off". Perhaps a "commonly used acronyms" page is necessary on this site.
