This was taken at the highest peek in GA. On a clear day you can see three different states. Of course I can't tell unless someone points me in the direction and tells me cause it's not like there's a sign sticking up that says... hey! I'm a new state. lol (5 years and 2927 days ago)

Love the contrast between the warm colours at the front to the cool ones in the distance.

It looks like painting and lovely view as well - love the shape of the mountain created from highlight and shadow at the background. Well done

Established in 1889, the town of Windermere (Florida) is only 1.1 square miles in size with less that 2000 residents. This all wood building was built in 1922 as the Old Windermere Womens Club and adopted as the city's official Town Hall in 1922. It's on the National Register of Historic Places along with two other late 1800's buildings. The city has no traffic lights, 30 mile hour speeds and tough cops to maintain this unique american city. Nicely done HDR, bet the cops make a fortune.

Their reputation proceeds them and the town residents benefit. Drunk drivers stay clear of our town. By the way, great category and fantastic entries. Voting will be tough.

Looks/sounds a lot like our little village - except we're only 1 square mile

author says:

You'll have to refer to my town as the Big City.

avatar FallingHorse

Nice - our area has a population of 2 people per square mile

As I get older, I like your density better and better.

I like how the background line of the hill echos the lines of the track. Very nice composition!

For me, the rust color really makes this image.

This photo would be better with more contrast, but even so it's still a bit on the soft side.

author says:

Not bad for a cell phone camera, huh?

Nice for a camera phone though you still could add some contrast to your photo in any editing program. Good luck author.
