agree, there is soem great detail here, but it needs some work. Try contrast and brightness adjustments for starters

Thankyou so much for the advice, I knew it was missing the mark somehow and you both put a finger on it. I have adjusted the contrast levels and also the black level to give it more depth, please advise me if I went too far. Black and whites are always a bit tricky to guage.
