Weird, looks extra-terrestrial!

As wonderful image as this is, I feel that the focus is more on the flag and surroundings than the gravestone. IMHO I probably would have tweaked the levels a bit to give it more presence and depth. You are on the right track by using BW though. Just a couple of observations, hope I don't offend you.

Agrees with friiskiwi. I would just do a color adjustment to more blue like friiskiwi suggested. Not sure if you are new but so you do know you CAN edit entries. (at least for 5 more hours you can) A color adjustment would greatly improve your chances.

You are so right! Yes, it is a part of a window blind :P
Also, I learned to take more pictures before I put them on pxleyes, it has to be focused on that blind.

try to find a feature on your camera called "focus lock" or "one shot" at a time...focus on what you want, push the shutter half-way and hold, recompose then push the shutter all the way...GL author, and nice idea here

Photographing is my thing, but I was just toooooo inpatient for this, and, as always, my batteries were dying... I have regular batteries for my camera, they can't even hold for 2 hours.

(I was inpatient because I was holding this in my hands, and I had to hold the curtain and everything, so this picture sucks)
