very beautiful!
Awesome IR shot! Do you use a filter or a converted camera? And if you are using a conversion, what kind of camera?
This is absolutely beautiful. One more question...is this straight out of the camera, or did you do any post processing like channel swapping? I just really love IR photography and am always curious as to how people get their results!
Amazing photograph! I would love to have this hanging in my home.
beautiful!
Stunning, how you will answere all Jadelinks questions.
great effort, only ruined by the vehicles in shot left side of image.
Thanks guys, Jadedink: if you PM me i will tell you how.
Author, I do not mean any disrespect, but this is also a learning / sharing site. If you have techniques that fall within the rules, and they could be learned and used by others in the future, do you not think it would be good to share them here, rather than in private messages.
This is amazing!!!
Please don't get me wrong adeincyprus and everyone else. If I were to share it here, now, while the contest is still on, then people would be able to guess whose photo this is, based on the way I'm writing/explain (I think..). I'm just trying to be anonymous, hence would prefer best to reply privately.
Some photographers keep their techniques private for a reason I believe. It is what makes them stand out from others. Does a magician tell you how he does his best tricks? Remember this is also a contest site (meaning competition), so in my opinion author, it would be up to you to tell your secrets or not. If you do, then others are VERY lucky to learn from you
I hear what you are saying k5683, and I also understand your concerns for anonymity author, But, I doubt very much that the technique you used, if it is legal for this competition, is anything new, so perhaps you might say that you will post it as a tutorial after the contest ends, that way, new users can learn from you. I know your work, and you are fortunate to be so skilled, but did you not learn from someone or somewhere in the beginning!!
1) k5683: Thank you for your understanding and YES a lot of photographers do keep their secrets especially in processing. Why? Because whenever he/her processing photos time to time it will bring out their own unique signature. What ever tutorials out there, their are just a guide, it is up us all to try and practise till we get the skills in processing. So, to avoid more confusion i will answer jadedink question in this what we call 'comment box'.
2) jadedinkl: Thank you for your favored. Yes, i used an IR filter attached on my dslr lense, due to this you need to shoot it with tripod....
....You will need to post process with any kind of IR photos and it always the best to capture it in RAW. Now the processing its abit difficult, you need to play with channel mixer to get the right colour and sometimes color shift will give you a great effect. After that you need to play with contrast, saturation and levels. Hopefully these help. If you need anything i'm happy to help, just PM me. Thank you.
