I had to look twice to see the yellow spider. How unusual!
I like it a lot, that it's eating a wasp - I don't care for them much at all - Go spider! Nom nom nom.
Wonderful capture, with great color!
Just a spider eating a wasp.
Hope you like it! (5 years and 2938 days ago)

that's close, well done
You're brave. Just how close did you get to this wasp?
I used the reverse ring method and used a 50mm reversed on a 100mm lens. I was about an inch away from my subject.

"To a Wasp"
You must have chortled
Finding that tiny hole
In the kitchen screen. Right
Into my cheese cake batter
You dived,
No chance to swim ashore,
No saving spoon,
The mixture whirring
Your legs, wings, stinger,
Churning you into such
Delicious death.
Never mind the bright April day.
Did you not see
Rising out of cumulus clouds
That fist aimed at both of us?

..................... outstanding. How are we to compete against this.
nicely done author my favorite... not only is the quality of the image great but unfortunately (for most of the other entries) this doesnt appear to be flat like most of the rest. which is great! honestly i dont see much competition here, and if you dont get first, or second, i will be stumped. lol... great work! even the foreground pops out, or in, which ever lol!

I don't know how big that wasp was, but it looks huge, gigantic, enormous, like super scary, I can't believe you were brave enough to take a picture of it. Ok I'm out of here, lol.
it was so big, that it took 2 cameras to take its pic !!
