"The Water Margin" is a classic Chinese novel from around 1368 ce, during the Ming Dynasty. It was a favorite of Mao Tze Tung, and it might have influenced his egalitarian approach to politics during a critical period in China's modern history. It was a story about 108 "bandits" who were driven to become outlaws by a harsh, unjust, corrupt government. Their hideout was at the edge ("margin") of a marshy lakeside area, hence the title. Much use of traditional Chinese weapons were featured and even immortalized as a result.

Thanks friiskiwi. It took me quite a while to find a suitable yet accessible location hence the late submission.
Beautiful scene, and description of the book.
Thanks Pearlie. It's a place you could sit all day and do nothing productive and yet get a sense of fulfillment.
