i think these roots do not seek for water anymore, water is being transferred to the stem by the capillary roots deep down in the ground, these surface roots are now considered branches , good shot and good luck

Me too - the leading lines are very strong. If you cropped the top off it would be like mono in green

I like this very much. I agree about the cropping. I think I would get rid of the streets. The greens, lines, and boat outline would be very nice.

Thank you all for the feedback. I made a step-by-step and added two possible crops. I don't like how I lose the depth of the original, but there's a very different feel to the picture when the civilization is cropped out. I have a hard time deciding.
