have we seen this before?

You may have seen one like it, I get these things all the time since my kids like them. I set this up and shot it last night. I used a lightbox, black velvet cloth background, and a small flash light for the back lighting.

ok, what are they for exactly?

They are wax bottles full of flavored juices. You bite the end off..drink the liquid and then can chew on the wax...it's a type of "candy" or treat. Been around since before I was a kid (which is quite a while - LOL).

I remember those. Always liked the juice, but never really liked chewing on the wax. Nice colors

Yes Ade, its wax. White wax with a dark mix of some type of grey coloring over it and rubbed down to reveal highlights.

Could have been much improved with a quick crop and rotate so that it was straight and it had an interesting composition. Imho action shots work much better if the subject isn't just smack dab in the center, although there are acceptions.

sometimes, candid action angles like this work well...........and I think this is ok..........good luck...

Of course angled shots have their place. All I'm saying is that there are many angled lines in the background that imo it would have been a nice contrast to see some horizontal or vertical lines in the foreground and the subject was leaning into the center. And yes, goodluck author
