I've never done that, so I wouldn't know how to go about it. I use Picasa too.

In that case I would just try Autocontrast in Picasa.

Really nice setup for this, you need to see the whole thing in HR to appreciate it. BTW jawsh its not something really humor...it just a fight between corks and the corkscrew
