great

author says:

Thanks. A very terrible time in our area during this hurricane. They are still doing cleanup and repairs...some roads still closed.

That would be a bummer... I hope the stained glass was saved

I would loose the bottom stairs

I think friiski is right. Get rid of the front steps, and you'd end up with a very good image

avatar cabldawg71

I agree with friiskiwi also. You could always change it back if you do not like it.
Good luck Author.
This is a very solid suggestion imo

I really like this shot. It reminds me of some film noire and/or some old horror films from the 20's and 30's. As far as the cropping idea goes, I'm not sure I'd crop the enitre set of bottom stairs out. It would have helped if the perspective was a tiny bit higher so we could see that first landing, then they wouldn't be so much of a "frame." I think I might crop out to the top of the lowest "bright stripe" and below, and leave the second dark stripe (from the bottom) and what's above it. Cool shot, though. Good luck.

author says:

Ok... Thanks everyone for your comments Its nice to know that people do look and are interested by your own work ...
I decided to set up for that shot Exactly where I was to avoid the landing area and include some of the steps that had led me all the way up there... the tunnels and stairs just seem to go on n on...
So Im going to leave the image the way it was shot, which by the way was lit with torch light on a remote control long expo
Thanks all

Way too dark. If it's supposed to be night, the sky is too bright and blue. If it's supposed to be day, the ambient lighting should be better. The stairs should be consistently illuminated ALL the way up, since the handrails are...

avatar cabldawg71

? do not understand. Are you insinuating this is manipulated?
I think this is a nice shot Author and good luck.

author says:

Thanks Cab. I wanted to make these commercial stairs somewhat artistic instead of a snapshot. Levels used. no manipulation.

avatar cabldawg71

this one is definitely more artistic imo, good shot
