I know we are supposed to be looking at the animal but I cannot help but focus on the tree. IT IS BEAUTIFUL! Do you know what kind of tree it is? Nice shot BTW.

Thanks! It's a jacaranda tree. They are abundant in the Johannesburg area and are just beautiful. The most intensely purple/blue I've seen! Part of the reason I like the shot so much is the contrast of color.
