Nice shot,but you would have a much more powerful photograph, if you crop it so you just see a fraction of the pole on the left and a little bit of the yellow pole nearest the middle.

Thank you! I was surprised myself that even the Greek flag is recognisable in the harbour in the full res. I like this image a lot, because I did long to sail away with that boat when I saw it.

destroyed in an earthquake some 200 years BC, I was told by a communicative and history adept cab driver. Remains laid there for some 800 years, as the Rhodians did not dare to rebuild it because the oracle of Delphi made them afraid they had offended Helios.
Legend or history tells that in the year 654 the arabs, who had captured Rhodes at the time, sold the remains to a jewish merchant of Edessa.
