My son's science project last year was skim boarding and friction. He compared 3 waxes from 3 different manufacturers, Mrs. Palmers, Mr. Zog's Sex Wax and Sticky bumps. He tied a fishing line with a weight attached and timed them as they fell to the ground. He learned quite a bit about wax. Sticky bumps was the winner, I sent his paper to the company and they sent him a free case of wax! So all of you surfers out there try Sticky Bumps! (5 years and 3619 days ago)

Could have been much improved with a quick crop and rotate so that it was straight and it had an interesting composition. Imho action shots work much better if the subject isn't just smack dab in the center, although there are acceptions.

sometimes, candid action angles like this work well...........and I think this is ok..........good luck...

Of course angled shots have their place. All I'm saying is that there are many angled lines in the background that imo it would have been a nice contrast to see some horizontal or vertical lines in the foreground and the subject was leaning into the center. And yes, goodluck author
