I may have gone beyond what the imagination should go, but the photo is from the point of view of those who arrived late to a date with someone special and the person who should be there waiting is gone! Ok, is up to the voters or to the moderators to take into consideration this point of view, but it's my point of view. Can you imagine something more full of loneliness than a bench empty under a big tree ? (5 years and 2424 days ago)
It's a nice subject but the image appears to be out of focus or has had some form of filter applied to it.
Dear solkee the focus is on the bench .. I hope......
Kyricom was complaining that a single person does not necessarily depicts loneliness, and you have gone one step further, unless of course that bench has feelings?
Dear Wayne Cheah, the point of view of the photo is of someone who comes late to a date and finds the bench empty. The photo is from the view of the person who arrives late and the other has gone... perhaps I left my imagination goes ahead of the concept of loneliness...but what more loneliness than a bench empty under a big tree??

Perhaps it speaks more of frustration, disappointment, desperation even. Without a human subject displaying feelings of loneliness, how can we tell? We will then have to admit images of empty beds, riderless bicycles, birthday cakes with no humans around to depict loneliness since "loneliness" is only by way of implications without an actual photo of a human subject?
Here the main point is sensibility of each one!
While interpretation is completely subjective, the photo is the main focus to me. I like your idea, and your subject. But it seems a bit blurry to me.
