...well, it does doesn't it? :)
[Update] Added a gradient overlay to the LHS to give the effect of it actually being a mag rather than just an image. :) (5 years and 3774 days ago)

Dang good job here around the fonts a little pixelated butt all in all
Thanks dude, look at the high res version for NO pixelation.
Author.. I think he's talking about the Pixelation that took place on the LOGO in the center when you enlarged it... but like he said.. we can really see the whole job (I think you might be able to get the large version off of Giallo's profile.. but I think you have to ask permission from him first.. I think.. just check with a mod.. high High HIGH marks
Gotcha - checked out Giallo's pixel dudes, they're very nice. But I'm kinda sick of looking at the thing at the moment. Maybe I'll upgrade the little buggers later! Peace
Very nice use of colour, and love the encapsulated Pxl logo - my fave thus far, author!
Excellent work! It looks very professional, and it belongs in any corner shop!
cool!
Wow! nice job
Nice, clean entry, only pet peeve is that shading on the round main graphic is off, it is extendning beyond the border, and there is a line around the top highlight on that same treatment that is out of place...
thanks annabat, turns out pixie pixel was copyrighted so i had to replace her. You're right about that rough edge and while i was in there I sort of cleaned it up. problem was that i had originally made part of the ball at a lower res and was lazy and didn't redraw everything. you peeps have good eyeballs, no fooling you! Peace
Another fine cover...but seems to be crowded with text imo.
ooo this ones really good
Nice texts there
Good job. Looks professional.I like the different font colors and sizes: interesting and not overdone.
Of the whole contest, THIS is the magazine i would buy... it's simple and professional. Well done author, you deserve a pat on the back
very nice
sorry you didn't get any higher in this contest, you deserved too, just for being original

it looks very good, i'd like to see high res because# it's very hard to read from afar. Good luck!
very nice done
nice entry,gl
very nice color and flow (though the cd size would make your magazine very small... hehehe.. but I really love the effect (and ignore my stupid nick pic.. great job)
I love the cover - it's really well done, but agree that the big CD, although well done, kind of spoils it.
nice job
thanks for the comments... the MAG is suppose to be the size of a CD.... when i up loaded it the correct size of a CD COVER no one could see the details. I resized and uploaded a highres... i could resize the CD to look like a mag and cd..hummm will go back and play....
ok let me know if you like the changes.
good color author...but i don't like the toolbox there... (just my opinion) good luck to you
thanks for the comment on the tool bar. I gave my mag alot of thought. Today information is processed in many ways. One of those ways is graphics. People will assess graphics before they read text. Therefore the tool bar was placed so if someone pick this mag up they could see straight off that it was PHOTOSHOP related . This then may lend to them reading the text and hopefully buy. I hope this gives a foundation for why it is there.
very nice colors and very good job

Not bad, but some comments. First of all, the texts you used are too small to read. I cant read them in small version, while the canvas of the magazine is quite big. So the proportions are not ok, imo. If you'd be in a bookshop and see this magazine, no way that you'd be able to read the cover. Other thing is that the texts seem to get off from the cover. Put them a bit more inside the image, will read better. "In the spotlight" is nice, but why you aligned it with the X? I can imagine it would fit well above PXLE or next to that, aligned with to top (so above "xpose" ). Free cd is also always welcome, but you wrote it 2 times, not sure if that's necessary. Your use of colors is ok, it has some computer/ICT- look and feel. And you're consequent with the use of black and white for your texts (which is also good, imo).
Ow, and you have permission to use my image .
Good luck!
I agree with wazowski, the print is too small, but i do like the image and I think it's a nice looking cover!
Where's my free CD? You really should invest in some better sticky tape! Lovely entry!
Wow! nice
wow, great improvement!!! Looks really great!!! good luck author!
what ladybug said..HUGE IMPROVEMENT and a very fun read
not 100% sure, but i think barcodes must be black on white
Yep, looks better already . Good luck!

not very good at reporting.. I do try though (5 years and 3774 days ago)
good, something different, i like the fact it's against the wall! Good luck
Edit: The only spelling error I see is Combonation instead of Combination.
got it
nice
hahahahha...great stuff!! Good work!!!
A fantastic entry - love it - a little cheap though, I'd pay at least $4.99 for a mag that had a cover that attractive. I think it's also great to have put the mag against a background.
The cover has an eyecatching graphic, would certainly get your attention. I'm not completely sure about the contents or in fact what I should expect in the first place since there's nothing explained but the lay out of the page is there for sure with consistant use of typograpy. Perhaps you can put some text above in white, so it's in better balance with the lower texts (which are already white). Good luck!
the actual art/manipulation of this is pretty interesting, but lose the bevel on the "create, share, learn" it's totally out of place for a magazine cover. I would focus on an edit that wasn't so "busy"
the oval at the top looks as if it standsout from the magazine, so sets it off from it.
Annabat and Tapiona GOT IT (I think it happened when I was shrinking the image and I forgot to flatten the oval.. It sure got fat right quick LOL (fixed).. and Waz.. thanks.. I used the white text to counter balance the white in PXL logo (I thought there was too much).. I think Flattening the oval did the trick .. THANKS GUYS
great graphic cover. I LOVE THE PRICE> bets the heck out of the $15-$25 Australian average cost here. GL
read the SBS...really good job there...good luck
oh my eyes!!!Too much colors
not bad at all author, atleast you used your OWN imagination lol.... goodluck, you got my vote.

Nice concept author !!
i'd remove that "missing cover" thing.. i wouldn't want to buy a magazine and read something dissapointing before i even open it.
'tis just a bit of light humour. I'd be put off by the price tag, let alone the missing DVD.
lol.....good job
Thanks - I try my best!
You got my vote Author great layout

super cool! Nice job!
Thanks peeps - you're too kind!
This is really very nice
Hahahaha, great stuff!
Thanks guys / gals - have my fingers crossed for a podium finish...
i like the picture you used, but the white background of the title takes away from it
Without the white background, the title looks a little to 'stark' - do you really think it detracts from the image?
Oh well.....Was surprisaed with the results and i thought it would make top 3.... but my opinion is biased i guess! Congrantulation on 6th anyhow.
Thanks Freejay - and anyone else that voted me up there - 6th is still a podiumish finish - it's boosted my talent at least!
