interesting comments. if you look at the source... well, anyway... the contest wanted two things... the area it is moved from to be reconstructed (and i did) and the item flipped (and i did... even put the lettering back right) not sure what the "lol" comment is for. i have found many helpful comment... just not these. why not comment on the guidelines... the area that is reconstructed? is there some helpful words on the reconstruction? or the move... helpful words on the blend?

I don't think the perspective of the barrel matches the position it's in now, it's too head on. Eye level is above the barrel. Shadow seems off as well.

Clean up the top left edge and give the tower some dimension...

the lighthouse looks like its floating in air, can you see what it looks like if you move it down a tiny bit?

Or try making the hill wider, and put the point of the lighthouse on the hill, you will have to make the image higher though, so a high res will probably be needed.

Now the top of the sky is a mess, and we don't see anything of the interior of the tower...you can fix this.

The first two sentences in this contest's guidelines say, "The item turned upside down has to fit into the image smoothly. Its former location has to be manipulated to match the original background flawlessly" It needs some work, maybe even a new idea.

Fresh Prince of Bel-air theme song. And yes while it doesnt look exactly like a normal explosion (which is the point) the background is normal and it fits in rather smoothly.

I agree totally with jawshoewhah, i would reconsider the entire image. The smudging breaks up the smoke texture and so it really doesn;t look much like anything. Try working with shadows and also how the light from the explosion would affect the background... good luck.
