Beautiful stuff here. In my opinion if you warm up the playing cards to more of a variance of sepia it would make this even classier. Not all the same values though...

Thank you for the comments. They're appreciated. The silly butterfly things (cough) in the lighter, smaller corner represent the feminine, while the balloons in the larger, darker corner represent the masculine. I left the cards bright for a couple of reasons. The image starts dark in the upper left corner and gradually brightens as it flows to the bottom right corner. Plus, I wanted to draw your attention to the story being told by the cards. Does that make sense in a, ya know, surreal kind of way?

I understand what you're saying with the light and dark, masculine and feminine, but I don't really see much difference in the lightness and darkness from one part to another. And if there was, those elements aren't really placed in such a way that I would see how they give the image ballance in such a way that making one element darker than the other hopes to achieve. That being said: This image is absolutely FANTASTIC and NOTHING that I said even matters. High HIGH marks from me.

Everything in this creation exhales originality, starting with the very well inspired title, continuing with the superb choice of tones and finishing with the excellent emphasis on symbols! author. this is a great piece of work (as well as the other stuff in your portfolio) BUT it would be really cool if you made something new and fresh for this contest and not just submit artwork you obviously made months ago. just my personal preference, i don't think there's a rule about that on this site though. also, your sbs explains nothing.

i was waiting for months for a surreal contest just to be able to submit this, and now you're telling me to change it? no thanks. as about the sbs, i only uploaded some basic steps to prove that i created this, i don't really have time to do a detailed sbs now. anyways you should vote for the entry and not the sbs, there is a whole different rating system for sbs guides.

I liked the original, not understanding the point of censoring this. It looks ridiculous...imo. Like putting a covering over the genitals of Michelangelo's 'David'. Oh well...nice job author...too bad you're dealing with entry removal here. You did a fine, fine job. Have you thought about re working the wrapping strategically to not reveal 'sensitive' areas? I know it would be a lot of work, but if it's important to you to have this entry here...maybe consider it. Personally...if this type of entry is too risque for this site, I would just have it removed and move on.

I'm not sure why the heck you chose to put black dots on the lady bits! That was the dumbest idea ever! I don't mean that in such a harsh way. But this is a photoshop contest! Why didn't you just soften them out? Photoshop has plenty of ways to censor this image without sticking black dots up. The black dots take more away from this great image than I think is necessary.

I looked at the original (link) and it is very good You should make a nice tutorial how you make this. :-b

Author, LOL. First version is a succesful artistic interpretation of nudity. This one, with the black holes, is simply obscene. Hope moderator is satisfied with the result of censore.

very well done, I agree this is an artistic nude, (I did see it before the dots) too bad about narrow minds. would love to see a tutorial on this - I bet it's not so difficult once you see the technique, but just to look at the final, I can't tell how you did it...

i really don't have time to do a detailed sbs right now, but perhaps sometime in the future, when i'll be less busy, i will make a detailed tutorial and upload it in the tutorials section. i do have all the layers and everything, but to describe in detail how i made this would take me longer than the actual work on the image, which also took me about 2 days.
so for now just enjoy the end result (the uncensored one of course)

OMG! I can't believe you have to put dots over this? That's insane!!!!!!!!!! The original was absolutely wonderful, and should not have been censored at all. WTF? I'm re-favoriting this even though the dots thing is ridiculous. I've seen them let dead babies stuffed in garbage bags stay, but yours gets removed? That makes me ill.

well, i used the simple black dots to censor this just to point out the ridiculousness of the censoring and to make people want to look at the original, not the so obviously censored one.

I think you did a wonderful work on the original version of this entry. You are taking your point of view, about this wonderful expression of Surrealism by putting those black dots over the image. The image should not have to be censored. In that case, people should cover their eyes when going to museums or The Vatican, where, nude art overflaps the walls! You did a great job, and wait to see your Tutorial.... good luck and big thumbs up!

That's is pretty weak you had to censor it but I agree with everyone who said just smooth out the parts that are not allowed, rather than the ugly black dots. IMHO, I think the surrealism would be more if you blended out the nips and lips.

Don't blur anything out... it is your image, and it's clear you;re trying to defend it. The black spots won;t stop me giving you a very high vote, and i'm sure many people feel the same way.

I have just looked at the uncensored version and even though it is fantastic, I think I prefer this one. There is a lot more mystery to it and it appears more surreal.

What is wrong with you people?!? Why all this drama and blaming the mods and the admin for an image which wants, by any means to stand out of the crowd, by showing explicit nudity? This was very nicely done, no doubt, but it's not the most original idea ever and it's also not Michelangelo, to keep comparing it with museum art! And author, this is might be a perfect way to draw attention and sympathy towards your work, but blending in the private parts was not such a big of a deal, especially that you were allowed to upload your image again AND post a link to the original!
