Nice thinking with this...perhaps change one of the sides of the 'sequin curtain' so that it doesn't look so mirrored. This might help. Maybe change some of the sequins up so that they don't repeat...

As far as I can tell, all you did was invert the source and add the external layer. Not really a lot of work done here....
