I don't think the animals stand out enough. And if they're not even at the beach yet, I don't get how this portrays the 'no water' theme of this contest.

@danlundberg these are animals that typically live in the arctic, and they are obviously stuck in some dessert, it makes sense.... without water there would be no snow or ice... Good job author

Really like the concept. Can't appreciate the dead fish without a hi-res version. I think you erred in retaining the source2 sky when source1 has the strong horizon line I would expect as well as a sky that matches a bright background. Lens flare (which I'm not a fan of -- and didn't I see that in Avatar which is totally fake so why was that there when no real lens was involvled? [but I digress]) doesn't originate from the bright spot in the top right corner; the flare merely detracts IMO and should be eliminated as erathion (at least partially) suggests.

I would make the cracks smaller because if you think of it they are HUGE now ! And mayby you can make the cracks on the land a little more lighter anyway nice done and good luck !

Looks good, but I'd suggest spherizing the cracks layer and see how it looks...

Nice lighting work.. i'd try to fix the flames, maybe add a few other flame sources. The entry seems off-theme anyway, but it's nice.

Well, the thing is at the deser (there is no water) , animals skulls (died because of no water), skull in smoke suggest death because of no water
