this is quite humorous author.. if you play with the curves/burn tool.. you could give it a bit more depth.. only if you want to.. if you were specifically striving for a cartoon effect you succeeded quite well.. good luck
EDIT: I find that source only pics are always the best.. shows how the artist is using their own ideas and not just relying on the power of the stock they find.... this also gives them a piece that can break out of the internet and actually be shown in real life galleries.. you don't know how many times it broke my heart having to reject art work from my gallery (floor manager) because the artist used others work.. even if it's free.. you still have to credit the source and that really cause tons of legal issues

At first glance, your grass looks like cattails. In fact it almost looks like some cattail tops within. Chopping in some random cattail tops & a bit of green on the lower portion of the leaves could really break up the repetition referenced in the previous comment and add nicely to your composition.
