Iceland, April 2010?
The idea is nice, but you should be able to increase the job more. Tips:
The lava running down the hill: Add some filter, shadow, bewel/emboss, blur and strech so it blend into the mountain. Play around and you´ll find it to be "not so drawn".
The restaurant: Add some ashes to the building, it looks way to clean when the rest of the enviroment is covered.
The road: Straighen it.
Nice idea
Sunzet, I didn't emboss or bevel the lava because it made it look like blood, but I did change the layer to "screen." I added more ashes to the pizza hut and added people walking. I did not straighten the "road" because it is supposed to be a footpath---it is in the middle of nowhere. Thanks for your suggestions. I was tired last night when doing it.
I like the idea but I would have liked to have the PizzaHut a bit closer so you could see it. I also wouldn't have desaturated the red on the restaurant because it is hard to tell what it is until you go to full view. With the lava what I would've done is create a new layer fill it with black, set the layer blend mode to color dodge. With a red soft brush set to an opacity of about 6% paint over the lava. Good luck.
Good idea....Best of luck

It would be interesting a restaurant like that!
Btw, it's missing the letter "t" in restaurant, author!...
got it, thanks erika
Nice! And weird
Nice! And weird
Very nice idea and perfect blend...good luck
Not particularly unusual (see for example the downtown-Miami Macy's [née Burdines] which has a café -- albeit entirely indoors -- in the walkway over Miami Avenue connecting the original building with the annex {look south from 'N Miami Ave / S Miami Ave / E Flagler St / W Flagler St' in Google Earth Street View}). Great removal of the pylon [traffic cone] and barricade, however. I think this would be more convincing if the left edge of the restaurant connected to the left-hand building.
Nice work....GL
good luck
