Source image is unrecognizable...you could have made this from anything.

It is really made from the stairs - that's the whole wooden texture look - you can see it in the SBS. Also I thought that the more author's own input, the better - or am I wrong on that? If so, I am sorry.

You needn't apologize but I agree with what CMYK46 is saying. There should be a unique look to the image that could only be achieved with the given source, this looks very nice but isn't really dependent on the contest source image.

Author this is very very nice work,i agree that u could made this with anything but lots entry's at pxleyes are made at the same way so don't worry.Maybe u could add some parts from source image,stairs in the background or something else u will have 100% unquestionable entry...Good luck,this is great creativity...

Thanks for the encouragement ... I do see your point guys; so in order to add another thing from the source image which would be more recognizable, I took out the fly and put in a snake instead, which is made out of the railing from the source image. Hope this helps a bit

Agrees with CMYK. Really CBR'd, even after you changed it.

Remember, the point of the source image contest is to keep it recognizable at least to a point that we don't have to go to the SBS to see it.

I think if you move move the gate over to the left a little more and lighter the tree shadow it will look much better. Imo it feels like something is missing but I can't put my finger on it. Overal it is a well thought out entry. gl

I agree about the tree shadow. Maybe give it a gaussion blur and bring the opacity down. I'm a little confused at the clouds that follow the steps to the right? Also, I would get rid of the top guy that looks exactly like the bottom guy. Fix those and this will be very nice!

I agree with the shadow, but instead of lowering the opacity the shadow should be broken up with the texture of a cloud. I would also finish masking the arch way and soften the edge of the "mountain" on the right side. Great entry. Good luck!

The brightness of the right front of the tree seems inconsistent with a light source coming from behind the tree. There's an inexplicable notch in the right railing near the top. (Using the Clouds filter to create a mask for the tree shadow might help 'wispify' it.)

Very nice job, only thing that I think of is that the person further up and away is taller than the stair, with perspective in mind, that person must be huge comparing to the person standing closest to us. IMO...Otherwise - really nice job!

Cool idea, and distressing the left-side railing edge is a nice touch. But the shadow created by the skateboarder is not consistent with that created by the right-side hand rail. I like the graffiti, but it doesn't feel as if it's 'on' the wall [too intense], especially at the grout line between the blocks. I think more, and maybe more colorful, graffiti would add a lot -- and might even be a more compelling focus, relegating the skateboarder to a secondary role.

Apart from what Dan says, I think there's something phyisically not completely ok. The way I see the source image, the skater is on the top of a wall (and not on the stairs itself). The arm from the skater however is already at the front of the right wall, while his arm is behind the body. I guess that arm wouldnt be visible from that angle. Just that . Good luck!

Wow, very nice idea!

Love the idea. Love the texture on the outside of the staircase. Don't love the texture on the inside of the staircase. Not sure about the smudging on the outside yet. Maybe if there were smoke or something added on top of the smudged parts. Good luck!
