I feel like the shape and proportions of the cat are a bit awkward, the cat head seems to be a bit too big.. my suggestion would be to add a subtle shadow between the cat head and the body to help separate the two a bit. Other than that, it's a magnificent image. Great job.
Here I used photo filters to match the colors of both pictures. Next I blended the two pictures together. I used transform to match up the pictures, and I earsed all the unwanted parts. My final touch was a texture. (5 years and 3430 days ago)
You always have good ideas and an eye for composition. But....this one could be AMAZING if you spent more time on it. Mostly the pot and the tree on the left. Good luck!
i agree with chalty. part of the kitties ear got lost in the selecting, and you could have blended the pot just a tiny bit more...seems on the right hand edge, you lost part of the pot in the transferring :P its a cute entry, and you've got tons of time to fix it up.
things that matter in creating this pic are a lot of masking,..and thanks for the stock providers sharing great pics,......one of them is michaelow http://www.sxc.hu/profile/michaelaw (5 years and 3429 days ago)
Author watch out for black edges around the hand, also the lighting between the hat and the cat don't match (flip the cat horizontally) And maybe try to paint the whiskers that were lost during masking back in.
> master ponti, it is not my intent not to follow you,...but if it is the light source that become a matter, I have corrected it by enlightening the side of the cat on which the light should fall. you always have good comment, much appreciated them. thanks.....hope it look better now.....
>crystle,...thanks...

made with PS CS2,
transformed the eyes, darkend some parts with the burn-tool, added some black and blue shadows and used several adjustment-layer, highlighted areas with the dodge-tool (5 years and 3424 days ago)
Nice looking image, eyes are very striking top job there, the only improvement that I suggest even tho it’s to late now is pulling out the fur a bit more it’s to smooth in places
