erikuri: Do we have to post all the pages results or one is enough?
( 5 years and 3537 days ago ) rufkut: This will be interesting!
( 5 years and 3537 days ago ) RayTedwell: interesting idea. At least we know people will have to make new entries for this contest and not recycle old ones!
( 5 years and 3537 days ago ) pearlie: That's a WILD idea, Waz! And simply going to Flickr, then CC, then Attribute is much different than the Advanced Search, then CC.
( 5 years and 3537 days ago ) wazowski: erikuri: the images have to come from the first page that you get as result, so there wont be any pageS

. BTW it would be nice if the used words are also visible in the screenshot (otherwise mention them in the description). For the rest, this contest is mostly to get (new) people to learn how to deal with CC images on Flickr
( 5 years and 3537 days ago ) Ressiv: Great idea! A very open contest in which you can get very creative ideas.
( 5 years and 3536 days ago ) lvstealth: it says at least 5, but we can use more than 5, right?
( 5 years and 3536 days ago ) wazowski: One other thing, you still have to be sure that the images are allowed to use for this contest (according to the rules from PXL), so be careful with what you pick
( 5 years and 3536 days ago ) wazowski: @lvstealth: sure you can use more than 5, as long as you pick at least 5 images
( 5 years and 3536 days ago ) George55: How do I know if the images are allowed to be used in this contest?
( 5 years and 3536 days ago ) erikuri: You have to choice advance search. There you choose "only photos", "Creative Commons" and contents for non-commercial use that can be modified.
( 5 years and 3536 days ago ) erikuri: Ok, Waz. Let's see if I got it... If I'm searching for "flower", the first result pages remains as a screenshot, right? Now, I have to use at least 5 different images (not related) or they can be 5 different flowers? And if they are totally different, do I have to make a screenshot for each one result page?
( 5 years and 3536 days ago ) George55: @ Erikuri: I think you have to show a screenshot of the "first" page. You'll choose the 5 pictures from that page only.
( 5 years and 3536 days ago ) artgirl1935: I just tried my 'two words' and almost everything on the first page is not CC. By going SEVEN more pages I finally found enough allowable sources, but can I use them since they weren't on that 1st page????
( 5 years and 3536 days ago ) wazowski: Erikuri, see otherwise the first entry as example. In the SBS you see a screenprint from the 1st page with results. Compare it with the link that is placed in the description (it can happen that if you see the page yourself, you wont see all the images from the screenprint, in case you have a smaller screen than the author). But that's basically the idea. Ow, and you can take 5 flowers if you want, but you hà ve to type 2 words in the search bar. If you want to know how to get legal sources from Flickr, check here: http://www.pxleyes.com/blog/2009/06/how-and-where-to-find-legal-source-images/. And for the rest make sure that they're original photos and not a source that's made from other images
( 5 years and 3536 days ago ) erikuri: Ok, I think I got it. I used to pick Flickr's images, there's no problem. Thank u...
( 5 years and 3536 days ago ) erikuri: @ Lois: first you enter your two words; when the result page appears you click on advance search beside the word "search".
( 5 years and 3536 days ago ) telmafrancione: I just would like to know if can be foreign words, like French, Portuguese, Italian... can be?
( 5 years and 3535 days ago ) erikuri: @telma: olá, Telma! Welcome to Pxleyes! O meu Flickr está em português, mas costumo fazer minhas pesquisas em inglês mesmo, porque a gama de resultados costuma ser bem maior do que em português.
( 5 years and 3535 days ago ) Lamantine: When I search, I get only 20 images per page, but when I look at the SBS , I see more than 20 images per page, why can't I see more than that ??
( 5 years and 3534 days ago ) robvdn: @Lamatine, this has to do with your screensize. There's a trick to get more (this works on Firefox) press CTRL - several times when you are on that flickr screen and you'll get the max 60 entries too. This trick makes it fair to all because it gives the same amount of images to everyone.
( 5 years and 3534 days ago ) telmafrancione: ops! Erikuri ... Erika...rs
( 5 years and 3534 days ago ) jack2: how can i save this page
( 5 years and 3534 days ago ) telmafrancione: with the "print screen" Jack...
( 5 years and 3534 days ago ) erikuri: @telma: pode ser até em chinês!...

Desde que você diga quais as palavras-chave que usou para a pesquisa...
( 5 years and 3534 days ago ) Lamantine: Thank you Rob ! This helps a lot
( 5 years and 3533 days ago ) telmafrancione: hahahaha... obrigada Erika! Beijos em você!
( 5 years and 3533 days ago ) erikuri: Using CTRL and mouse scroll it's possible to get 60 entries on IE as well. I tried and it worked...

Amazing work . No doubt lots of work here. Goes to my fav.
Image looks great except that I can't get your source links to work.
Edit: Links working fine now.
incredible work author my fav too
i m speechless
Awesome work, I really love all the detail
there is so much to look at
I havent made a comment for 1 year and 62 days, its taken your incredible work author i had to say something. I love the idea and you can see how much work has gone in to it. For me its a stunning chop. Source links worked for me.
Very nice! One small thing, the lighting on the girl. She's to bright and has no shadows (looks flat). Good luck!
Works very well!....nice job on the detail.
its a grt wrk............................n luv da sbs...............gl..
Thank you all to your comments, especially beaneze, that's my great pleasure to received your comment. @Ressiv: thank you for your suggestion but I don't agree with that, because in fact I made the shadow for the girl and you can clearly see in the Hi-Res. The light is vertical so her shadow should be small and around her foot. Making her glowing is my intense, she's wearing the illuminated clothes and the light makes her bright, this factor also reduces the intensity of her shadow. I tried to increase the shadow a bit but it stands out like a black area in the center of the image, not suitable, so I decide to keep the original state.
the best,,,,,,as always!!!!!!!
I meant shadow on herself
Not under. If she is supposed to glow you could create a glow around her. But it's just a minor thing in a very nice total image. Good luck!
Marvelous image, my fav too, GL
Amazing work!
GL
very well done --- blending and level of detail is super
Extremely cool! I'll admit I personally prefer the girl in SBS Step 14; I find this one too washed out and inexplicable, plus I think the focal point of the picture gets lost as a result..
Fantastic as always, Very well done
I agree with Dan, but good work as usual!
Very nice indeed! Only a couple of nitpicks, the compartment door of the octopus. At that distance would it be in front or behind the guy? There are a couple of holes on the contraption mounted to the octopus behind the girl which you missed. I would also have to agree that the girls brightness distracts from the fluentness of the whole picture. Having said that, this is a really nice piece which will surely go to the favs. Congratulations and keep them coming.
edit: much better!
the only things that bug me are "11st " and "12nd" in the description
anyway great job on the image!
Thank you my friends for you comments and suggestions. I' ll change something according to your suggestions, honestly it made me exhausted just after extracting the elements, so many details to deal with. @Chad: it's above the head of the robot, but it's transparent
@elficho: oops, it's really a shame to me, how silly I am, I fixed them, thank you so much.
EDIT: changes were made
Fabulous imagination, great execution and amazing effects...to just type steampunk machine in search box u have to be very imaginative...well done author, this creation is very unique and fantastic...i wish u best of luck
