Actually, I like the flare. This is a very nice piece of work...great idea and execution!

Simple but very effective! I like the well measured glow around the planet.

In high resolution is few crop-ing problems,around the palms,girl surfer have some strange big black dot close to head...idea is nice,blend is ok too,but try to fix that details author...good luck

The shadows are way too dark. Also the perspective of them (especially the left side) is way off, they're cast on the ground as there are no obstacles, so it shouldn't cover things from the hills.. Now it looks like the shadow is both out of perspective and also miles long.. Scale them smaller and use the perspective tool

are those shadows or silhouettes? either way, they don't really work with this lighting

The whole image is nice, but I think boat is too much near the shore, it would run aground; maybe resizing it smaller and far from the shore, it would be better.

Try using the pentool to mask images, an eraser isn't really suited to do this. There's loads of tutorials on masking and would improve this image so much
