Nice mood. I confess that I feel like the wimpy-edged crosses in the background look more vampirish than an homage to the fallen, however. I think crisp, military edges on the crosses would be more compelling.
I agree with erathion, lots of time involved to get it done in 1 week. I have done a Viking ship from source only and know it's not easy.
Nice idea and good luck to you.
I know that guy... author, funny entry. But, if you don't have any source link (for money and sunglasses) you have to upload a sbs with an uncut version of the picture. GL!...
ps: a suggestion: you could change the name Washington for his name...
Hope you don't get into trouble for copying money, even though it's changed. Cute idea, my only suggestion would be to enlarge the hat a bit to fit that head.
Ditto what Pearlie said, but I like the way you did the engraving effect. SBS would get you better votes.

Using actual currency in this manner should be okay. See: http://desktoppub.about.com/od/scanninggraphics/a/papermoney.htm
You do need to add your source for the glasses. If you post the source for the glasses an SBS is not mandatory but it's always helpful. If the source for the glasses is your own post the original image uncut in your SBS. You DO NOT have to post the dollar bill if you used an actual dollar that you scanned, that would violate the law regarding use of currency. It's enough in this case to state that's what you did. Public domain images are okay as well.

Copying money isn't illegal. Reprinting it is. Your bill would have been more convincing if you added a slight blur to the new black font and faded it a bit to better match the rest of the bill.
The silo work on the hat needs some clean up. I agree about the need for shadows also. The sentiment is nice.
You need to post sources as required by the rules and guidelines.
you can't what? do the shadows? create a new layer below the hat layer, take a black brush with 0 hardness and start painting beneath the hat where the shadow sould be. then lower the opacity to whatever seems natural and convincing. then you'll have something.

Nice one, it's a great tribute for all those heroes that lost their lives in any war.
