erathion: Fantastic source image... ( 5 years and 3359 days ago )
orientallad: lol, this is not Hieroglyphics nor even ancient egyptian,i'm about to ROFL ( 5 years and 3358 days ago )
DanLundberg: Orientallad is right on. This a bas-relief of warriors with apparently African (but not Egyptian) elements. Hieroglyphs [FYI an "ic" suffix technically creates an adjectival form] are writing and this is clearly not a text but an illustration. Nevertheless, the mistaken titling does not detract from the awesomeness of the image. ( 5 years and 3357 days ago )
erikuri: African from where? Egyptians are Africans too... ( 5 years and 3357 days ago )
orientallad: Americans are not Americans, they are Europeans,Africans,Asians,Russians, and their language is English and second langugae is spanish, what a joke, lol, Hieroglyphic is not African it's Egyptian, Egyptian Language,Culture,Science,Art,Religion, history and and historical achievements, let's not mix up history, lol, for your knowllege, about on third of Egypt is located in Asian,we got snow,Hailstones and cold weather, not much sands and camels, lol ( 5 years and 3357 days ago )
erathion: I am not an expert but this looks like some kind of Masai art...Mask for sure look like their war ritual mask, and if u look from up to botom, first lines are war creations and thirs is from regular life...And Masai people are warriors first of all...another warrior people from Black Africa is Zulu people, but their art is totally different... ( 5 years and 3353 days ago )
orientallad: that would be such valuable addition to my information,i'll check it out on wikipedia or history sites in order to confirm its veracity, thank you ( 5 years and 3351 days ago )
jawshoewhah: Hieroglyphics just seems like a fitting title at the time. Keep in mind this was shot at an antiques shop in Salt Lake City, Ut. ( 5 years and 3350 days ago )

Do I even need to bother to say how incredible this is? It's a pity that the heiroglyphs themselves aren't visable anymore but the design in this makes up for it, for sure...the vines are especially amazing. Great work and good luck, author.
This is a tremendous work - as always. Just wish you would go beyond the liquify steps to explain more about how you proceeded from there. Maybe start a folder for your project when you begin, then 'save as' often as you move ahead. Then when you finish you will have your SBS ready to go. I think we owe it to new people on pxl to show them more about how these great pieces take shape. Love all the works you create!!!! Keep it up!
I seriously hope people view this high-res before they vote on it! At first I saw nothing and when I clicked view in high res I was mesmerized. Great work author!!!
hey everyone thanks for your vote and positive feedback. keep up the good work! just to let everyone know the image of the eye is my own photograph that i took of my own eye.
