@ cmyk, you were quite right about the tail shadow, I must have had a mind melt there... I think thats much better now.
@ spaceranger, I thought the same thing about the background, but I do like to keep the source as recognisable as possible in these types of chops, so I opted for this. Thanks for the help though

I agree with keeping the source visible in a source contest, for me that's a part of the challenge. I think what bothered me is that black rectangle in the source, it detracts a bit. If it were cloned out it would strengthen the focus on the creatures and still be faithful to the source. I want to emphasize that this is a really fine entry and my comment is in no way a criticism, only a suggestion
of possible alternatives.

Really nice! You could have saved some of the glass highlights on the side of the dish by copying them and overlaying them on the butter you created. IMO the hue of the butter is slightly off, too...may need more red or something, but it's still a lovely job.

Very nice, convincent and realistic. Just one (very) small thing, that I hope you agree with me: you need to flip the hands vertically, because the little finger is on the top...

Erikuri, check the source pic of the kid...he has short index fingers.

reflection is very well done == butter in the dish could use some work to look more real seem a bit flat looking

The juice doesn't seem so real to me, the color is too intense for a lemonade. Really nicely done with the butter tho

I think this is very good, and I think the juice is olive oil......

It's a great entry but you didn't need the source to make this. Original source is completely CBR'd. It's not much of a challenge to use the source when you hardly used it to begin with.

I have to agree with Josh, whilst a beautifully painted image I feel the source could have been anything to achieve the same result. Very best of luck though

OK, a bird has been sculpted and added to the lily pond!! Just for jaw and Geexman. Hope it looks enough like a butter dish to suffice.

Very cute with a charming non-CBR element. I confess I find SBS Step 10 so much more compelling [with the big globe in front of the far end of the road, of course]. In this final version, the ground seems flat notwithstanding the perspective of the rainbow road atop it and has a color that seems to clash more than enhance.

I feel tthe background is a little too empty. Good job with the fly tho.

It's probably matter of opinion about background. Personally (IMO) I think making another metal fly similar to it, sitting next to the original fly would make it far more interesting. But you got a day left.
