awesome work and great result (make sure you post the bat brushes or how you made them) Hate to see this wonderful piece pulled on a tech... GOOD LUCK!
This is really wonderful! A little observation... Maybe make his right shoulder a bit more...round, it looks a bit too rough and straight now, IMO. And the top part of the coffin looks a tiny bit too large, even though it's closer to the viewer. But I'm just picky, I like the overall image! GL
thanks for suggestion Giulia, good notice, but its too late now. i dont have .psd file and Drivenslush thanks for reminding me about the brushes. many of my entries get removed this way because i want to done things the faster way.
I love the texture of the coffin! And, pls... keep the psd file till the end of the contest; so you can make the suggestions work.
Fantastic job author...mt favorite in these contest...well done

Wonderfully creative and colorful. Well done!
looks real cool

Very creative and interesting. Nevertheless, I confess I don't get how the title relates to the image. And I don't see how the top half of the image relates to the bottom half (which also has a totally different perspective).
Well I'd like to take your comment to task DanLundberg but Upon revue of many of your other comments I find that a difficult thing to do but I will try anyway. Explaining nonrepresentational to a conformist is very difficult to do.
BUBBLES DOWN THE KITCHEN sink is a reference to a song by Florence and the Machine, where a woman receives true happiness and tries everything to destroy it. (Dog Days are Over)
And as to the comment "I don't see how the top half of the image relates to the bottom half" and with your imagination you wouldn't. It's something that can't be taught. (I have the exact same problem when I see grown men Photoshopping themselves into pictures with beautiful women they could never have, so I guess we are even in that aspect).
Having perspectives that clash is part of the surreal movement, but once again, by your comments you really don't have a grip on that concept, and not all the professors in the world could change your mind. Your self proclaimed authority on EVERYTHING has been cast in iron.
A Yin Without A Yang Is Like Trying To Walk Forward Using Only Your Left Foot
A very talented artist I have the grace of knowing shared a comment by one of his old teachers," an artist must know the rules...so he knows how to bend them."
It appears that you know all the rules of art Dan, it's too bad you have no courage to bend them, and find the need to oppress those who do. (You made a yawn comment on someone's entry, and I reserve the same right about your comments)
thanks for the comment and you have a great day
WOW!!! NOW THIS IS AWESOME!!!
This is so whimsical and creative, author.
For "anyone's" information, THIS is what you call art. It does not matter how or where the artist drew inspiration, for the title or the piece itself. Art is a personal thing, you either get it or you don't. Bravo to you, author, for your retort. Maybe if certain people who seem to blurt out idiotic comments would just sit back, and look at the piece, they'd learn something. Having a 'runny mouth' to put it nicely, isn't nice, it's rude, and does nothing to inspire either the artist or anyone else who happens by to notice the work.
This is one of the most creative talents on this site, IMHO, and the work should be cheered on and encouraged. If you don't like it, that's fine, just go back to your corner, hide behind your keyboard, and do your own mundane pieces.
@ Dan, I have to agree with the author about your comment ... to refer to this entry as "very creative and interesting" is wrong. As the author said, you must open your mind and put your artistic opinion or any opinion to one side when commenting, I am in no doubt that the author has used their entire intellect and skill to produce this.
Very Pretty Colours Author!, smugglesywooglesywoo.....cheeky chuckle nonsense
Geexman, Nice try.. now you go scamper and stroke your ego some more ... LOLOLOL (don't try the baby talk.. you're not cute enough to pull it off and just makes you look like a bully cause someone stole your ice cream)
Smooches big man
(SEE.. I can pull it off cause I'm a cutie patootie.. and you're just a grumpy old cranky guy who throws fits when things don't go your way)
snuggles
good job..., I like the splatter effect
I really love this image. Surrealism with a splash of colour. It amazes me that people are debating what this is about! Art is art. I stand firmly alongside Pearlie on this one. Art is very much about perception and interpretation. You either get it, or you don't. That is the point. I envy this author for the imagination and use of colour employed in this work. The chaos of colour and splashes and the order in the poles and spheres. It shows the contrast between the two. Loud and vivacious it certainly is, but imaginative and thoughtfully worked out too. I would much rather look at this piece of art, than most technically worked and correct "Photochops" This employs much more skill and imagination.
Now these are my favorite entries from you. The kind that just makes your imagination just explode with colors! The kind of imagination that required some very good window pane or yellow sunshine Well done my friend! GL!
Many time in Arts, the rule is breaking the rules of sense, perspectives, colors, patterns. Just letting the imaginations run wild, and higher, talking louder. You don't need to be an expert in Arts; you don't need to be educated in Arts. You only need to feel everything in your soul...
This work is perfect for São Paulo Art Biennial!
This has a very Miro, Dali, Pollock feel to it ... what a combo and what an image. Great concept and the surreal quality is wonderful. I find myself not only smiling at this image but frowning, not sure how it makes me feel. But it does make me feel something; that is what art should do (IMO)! Bravo!
