It's a super cute Idea, but the conversation bubble is very distracting and out of place if it's not created to blend into the image better
This of course is just IMHO... and if you add a 3-10 pixel black stroke around the bubbles (play with the size) you'll find it whelps with the overall image...

I saw the expression. But the piercing is so subtle that I almost didn't notice it...
