jawshoewhah, no don't need two frames. it's not an "out of bounds" image. Two pics that are linked in some way. The example given does not have two frames, so I presume that's what we aim for.

"Your goal in this contest is to create a picture where framed photos are interacting"... suggests to me that both images need to be framed,
*whispers: a loophole to the rule for this entry would be to frame the entire image *

No - I've looked again and can't see two frames. (but can't make the image any bigger) It says: "The options are limitless, as long as someone/something in a photo is interacting with something outside of that frame."
Will a mod look at it and decide? I hope so!

You think the example photo is always accurate? There was a contest that posted a picture if a motorcycle for the bicycles contest that specified "No motorcycles" even though the contest picture displayed one.

The contest guidelines says "Pictures frames interacting" as in more than one. Not picture frame, picture frames. It just seems to make more sense to have two frames.

Yes jaws - I read that bit too , but surely that just makes it an "out of bounds" contest? And I think this is supposed to be a bit different. (Hope so anyway)

Nice idea but I think you have to include another frame. The table looks like it's floating anyways.

Do this: put a frame around the table and fishbowl and since this is a surreal type of contest anyways, why not just put a "cloudy sky" layer in the background. Then the table wouldn't matter if it was floating. Just a suggestion. GL!

i dont think there needs to be another frame in it jaw, aslong the images are connected to eachother, look at he sample they gave

and you indeed don't have to add a second frame but i think i'd be nicer
in case you ain't gonna follow this advise you may as well distort the painting frame so it is in proportion with te wall

The fishbowl is at a weird perspective angle compared to the rest of the image, the table, the boy, etc. It looks like is it tilted up towards the viewer.
